I’m Callia Hargrove, and I’m a marketer, brand strategist, educator, and, most importantly, a passionate advocate for change. My commitment to creating sustainable impact has been at the core of my career and is the guiding principle behind Backstory, the brand strategy consultancy I founded in 2020.

Before founding Backstory, I was pivotal in developing inclusive and diverse marketing and impact initiatives at renowned brands such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Teen Vogue. The launch of Backstory was a direct response to the profound societal shifts of 2020. This pivotal moment ignited my exploration of how I could contribute more significantly to changing and diversifying the world around me. 

Now, I split my time between helping founders, CEOs, and corporate leaders build intentional brands at Backstory, working 1:1 with C-Suite leaders, sharing my knowledge on intentional brand building across multiple platforms, and building community on and offline.
